Technical Overview
Under the action of mine pressure, underground coal pillars, roadway surrounding rocks and closed wall surrounding rocks are prone to fragmentation, forming certain air leakage channels. This not only causes the oxidation and spontaneous combustion of residual coal areas or surrounding rock coal bodies, but also creates channels for the diffusion and overflow of harmful gases such as gas. To address the problems existing in conventional materials—including the easy loss and low utilization rate of low-viscosity fluid sealing materials, the fast setting speed and low permeability of consolidated filling materials, the high heat generation, high temperature and potential risk of secondary disasters of organic reinforcement materials, and the formation of new air leakage fractures due to secondary crushing of reinforcement and consolidation bodies under pressure—our company has innovatively proposed the plastic sealing technology.
Technical Characteristics
(1) Room-Temperature Reaction: As an innovative material, it undergoes reaction without generating heat and has low heat generation to the surrounding environment.
(2) Excellent Diffusion and Permeability: With low initial viscosity, it boasts good diffusion and permeability, enabling it to fully fill cavities and fractures around coal-rock masses.
(3) Superior Adhesion and Sealing Performance: Its viscosity gradually increases over time, allowing it to effectively adhere to coal-rock masses and exhibit excellent sealing performance for fracture channels.
(4) Good Plasticity: The material eventually forms a gel, which can twist and deform under mine pressure and instantly fill newly formed fractured spaces caused by pressure.
(5) Flame Retardancy and High Thermal Stability: The gel does not burn or support combustion even when exposed to high-temperature fire sources of thousands of degrees Celsius.
(6) Antistatic Performance: The gel contains a certain amount of moisture, endowing it with natural antistatic properties.
Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Performance
(1) Sealing Performance
Inject the plastic sealing material into piled gravel to fill the gravel fractures. Then, extract air from the bottom of the container and monitor the changes in negative pressure data to evaluate the material’s sealing performance.
(2) Adhesiveness
The formed gel has excellent adhesiveness and can adhere to smooth glass surfaces. Even when the glass is placed vertically, the gel will not fall off.
(3) Flame Retardancy and Thermal Stability
When exposed to burnt by high-temperature flames of thousands of degrees Celsius, the gel neither burns, nor supports combustion, nor collapses, demonstrating outstanding flame retardancy and thermal stability.
Application Location
(1) Sealing of fractured cavities and air leakage fractures in section coal pillars;
(2) Sealing of fractured fractures in the loose zone of surrounding rock of closed walls in mining areas or working faces;
(3) Sealing of fractures in the closed walls of already sealed old goafs;
(4) Sealing of loose and fractured fractures in the surrounding rock of coal roadways and semi-coal rock roadways;
(5) Sealing of surrounding rock fractures in gas extraction holes and gas prevention holes.
Application Process
Material A and Material B are added into the preparation system at a 1:1 ratio via the Shuangye grouting pump, and the resulting plastic sealing slurry is injected into the fractured coal-rock mass through grouting boreholes.
