Technical Overview
Composite Gel (High Water-Retention Hydrogel) (MAG-Ⅱ) fire prevention and extinguishing material is mixed with water in a certain proportion, it can form a viscous fire prevention and extinguishing gel within a few seconds. The formed gel has good fluidity and coverage in the initial stage, allowing it to spread and accumulate in limited spaces. As time goes on, the viscosity of the gel gradually increases, further exhibiting excellent adhesion and wall-hanging properties. It can form a dense, high-water-content gel protective layer on the surface of floating coal and between cracks, featuring superior functions of heat absorption, cooling, oxygen isolation, and temperature reduction, thus achieving a significant fire prevention and extinguishing effect.

Technical Characteristics
(1) Reaction at room temperature: No heat is generated during the mixing reaction with water.
(2) High water content: The formed gel has a water content of over 98%, which greatly improves the utilization rate of water compared with other fire prevention and extinguishing materials.
(3) Good water retention: It can chelate normal water into hydrogel in as short as a few seconds, showing excellent water retention properties and enabling long-term water retention in goafs.
(4) Excellent cooling effect: It can form a dense, high-water-content gel protective layer on the surface of floating coal and between cracks, which can play the roles of heat absorption, oxygen isolation and cooling.
(5) Good thermal stability: The hydrogel can withstand high temperatures above 1000℃ without collapsing or melting.
(6) Certain filling and plugging effect: The high-viscosity hydrogel is similar to a solid with good adhesiveness, and can fill air leakage cracks.
(7) High safety: Free water is consolidated by hydrogel fibers, so there will be no rapid vaporization when exposed to high-temperature open fire, which can eliminate the risk of water-gas explosion.
(8) Adjustable gelation speed: The gelation time can be adjusted between 15s and 120s, which can be tailored to different on-site conditions.
(9) Safe and environmentally friendly: The product is non-toxic and non-corrosive.

Application Location
It is mainly targeted at the directional prevention and control of known small-scale fire zones or specific areas:(1) Prevention and control of local spontaneous combustion fires in goafs and behind supports;
(2) Spontaneous combustion of coal in local areas such as roadways and the top of supports;
(3) Prevention and control of coalfield or coal pile fires.

Application Process
Add the composite gel powder raw material into water at a certain addition ratio (0.8~5%), stir and mix fully, then inject it into the fire prevention and extinguishing area through a high-viscosity delivery pump via grouting pipelines.
